I'm finally jumping into a full scale fair isle sweater so I've joined joined the Stranded Colorwork Challenge. The chosen sweater is the Fair Isle Cardigan from Adorable Knits for Tots. Here's the start of the back.
I'm using Rowan Cotton Glace, Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino, and Jaeger Aqua. So far, I've learned that Fair Isle in cotton yarn is a pain. I have my faith set on the magic of blocking.
That is going to be such a cute sweater. I think it looks great, even without the blocking.
It looks lovely from here!
Oh it's looking wonderful!
Love that sweater. I have it on my list. We seem to have such similar taste!
I know what cardigan you are making, I have the same book. I love the pattern so far, your fair isle is very well done, and I think it looks great so far, even without blocking.
That's beautiful! I love the colors. You're doing a great job!
Your sweater looks beautiful. My first intarsia sweater was done in a mercerized worsted weight cotton. It turned out beautiful, but the tension discrepancies didn't work out as well in blocking as a wool would. I love all the colors in your sweater.
