Naptime at our house has definitely become a family event. Initially, I'm in my bed, Charlotte is in her bed, and the cats are camped out in a sunny window sill. By the time I get up, Charlotte is sleeping on my shoulder, one cat is sleeping on my stomach, and the other is on my feet. (Resting pregnant women must excert some kind of gravitational pull on everyone else in the house.) Unfortunately, naptime with mommy has led Charlotte to want bedtime in mommy and daddy's bed as well. Over the last week, we've had the following schedule.
9:00 PM- Charlotte goes to sleep in her nice toddler bed.
2:30 AM- Charlotte wakes up, asks for juice, and wants to sleep in our bed.
She starts out little and not taking up much room, but by the time we get up, she's sprawled across the bed, with her feet digging in someone's back.
We are working on keeping her in her bed all night; it's just a slow process.
Don't forget to set your VCRs tomorrow. Chris and Caryn (of Knit Happens fame) will be on TLC's Perfect Proposal. The show airs at 1 PM.
Heehee! We had the same with our eldest daughter, and have just about done the same with our youngest daughter - got them to sleep in their own beds that is. They are just too big now to share with us. I love the description of the sprawled-out-morning-position - my youngest daughter used to do exactly that ;-) Enjoy it while it lasts though. They grow so quickly :-)
Is there ever a moment when Char Char is not cute? She's so precious!
Char-Char! She's so darn cute.
I missed Perfect Proposal. Was it great?
Oh, I so know what you're talking about. Erika joined us at 2:30 last night and in the morning Evan and I both had sore necks and backs because we couldn't roll over and move while Erika enjoyed some horizontal sleep and kicking and punching us. :-)))
