With the Critter Knitter Knitathon and the Mason-Dixon Afghanalong winding down, I'd started to look elsewhere for a charity project when I came across Louise's site. She's collecting 8 inch squares to make into afghans for an organization in Halifax. The afghans will be distributed to people in need. For more information check out her July 26th post. Here's my first square.
With some help from Charlotte, I'm almost a third of the way through Brittany. All of those cotton stitches have started making my hands ache, so I'm taking breaks to work on shop samples. I finished one of the Reverse Bloom Washcloths from Weekend Knitting. I actually found the cotton chenille nice to use, but this is not the project to knit in social settings. It's very easy to lose your place in the pattern if you aren't paying attention.
The other shop sample is this
a moss stitch scarf made of Colineete Shimmer 5. One skein makes a scarf that is 4" by 40".
And here's the latest pregnant picture.
Only 23 more weeks to go.
Thanks, shmoop! I appreciate the plug :)
And you look GORGEOUS.
Adorable picture of Charlotte with the knitting needles.
You are the picture of health!
