Our Busy Household
Sorry for the lack of posts but this has been a busy week for us. Charlotte now has teeth 5 and 6, and I've picked up some extra work. Between that and constantly cleaning up after Charlotte, not a lot of project work has been accomplished.
I had a Sonnet setback, but I'm almost back to where I left off last week. I promise this is not a difficult pattern. I also promise that I'm not a complete idiot when it comes to knitting. I am however a perfectionist, and, if I'm going to invest so much time into something, I want it to turn out right. Although my husband has threatened to throw out my yarn stash if he sees me pulling out any more work.
I have to buy circulars for Charlotte's blue sweater. It's not that the work is getting heavy on the needles yet. I've just gotten spoiled by the circulars I'm using on Sonnet, so now anything else feels awkward, bulky, and slow.
Charlotte's black jacket now has all of the collar embroidery finished. I was going to wait to buy buttons until all of the embroidery was finished, but I think I'll need them sewn in for flower placement. I do want to know that the buttons will look all right with the embroidery though, so I'll probably finish the sewing on the button hole side and then go shopping.
I'll post pictures as soon as I get enough work finished to be worth showing.
